Woke up feeling vaguely hung over for no apparent reason. All I can think of is that it's from mere association with Deflave? Weird. Anyway, as dismaying as it is to hook up $4k of carbon-fiber awesomeness to a hamster wheel, I broke down and did it. 30 minutes on the trainer this morning. Gonna need to set up a fan next time. Kenneth, I suggest you ignore that silvery-lookin' stuff (it's called "metal") on the right of the pic, as it's the edge of $9800 worth of the work I have for January for the job I don't have. Kingston, NO I will not post a pic of my ass in my bike shorts! Get AWAY from me. While I support your right to your sexual perversions on a libertarian basis, it doesn't mean I want anything to do with them. Ick. A pic of a bike? WGAF? or are you trying to sneak in an un-centered pic of some vague , "metal"... Thats your billet? stock? casting? Scrap? recycle? left over? 9800$ laying on the floor in your music studio? Not in the Machine shop you 'built' ???????? LMAO.... I could be wrong, so, you'll be machining in Jan, days away...... Feel free to prove me wrong, Post some real pics... before, after,,,,, whatever.... And you'll never hear from me again. Your up.

I'm only posting this to see if you are an honest man and because it'd sure be nice if you'd GTF off this thread. Doubt it, but let's see. I'm not going into details with you about what I'm doing this moment (yes, I machined 6 hours today). Anyway, here's your [bleep] before/after. The principle guys here have seen this pic already some months ago. Obviously this is from bar stock (billet is not the correct term). Completely custom rear hub for an electric bike. I've made about 15 of these for this customer among many other parts, most of which involve bearing fits, as does this . The customer does high-end custom builds. I made that on manual machines. I also made the custom fixturing and tooling needed to make it. i also make an axle with lathe-cut metric threads that goes with it. You an honest man?
The CENTER will hold.

Honest has they come, but to be fair, you could have lifted that pic from any website, "months ago"..... You're close, add some personal touch to the next pic, Time to nail the coffin shut.

Good freaking lord. Well, as fate would have it, I brain farted and broke a tap in one of them when it was almost finished, last batch. There might have been cuss words involved. to the Shelf of Shame it went, never to serve a useful purpose again.... but wait! It still has purpose! It's a shiny piece of Kenneth-B-Gone!

restarted the PNWild workout yesterday, ran 2 miles this morning before work. SO much easier to go run in the morning when it is in the 60's rather than in the 20's like this morning!

40 minutes on the hamster wheel. I need to figure out how to get more resistance out of it; I can't grind standing up to my satisfaction like on a really steep hill, even in my tallest gear.

Weather warmed up a bit so I went for a 5 mile run yesterday. Today my quads are reminding me about the downhill parts.
Intervals mixed in with elliptical today; sumo dead to high pull, pull ups, thrusters and flies (for vanity and because they're easier). My quads are whooped again.
What would Porter Rockwell do?

Did day 3 of the PNWild workout, my helper(wife) was suspect. It calls for 45 second planks, first 3 sets, everytime I'd ask if she was ready, she would be a smartass, so 4th set, I don't ask. After a while I was hurting, asked her about it and got an "oops" I got up and looked at my overall timer, I'd been down there 2:30. Can't complain, it's just more of a workout, but I've reminded her a few times about it today!
