I was having the same problem with the $1,000 pop up when using Safari. Members on the Campfire recommended Ad Block from the Apple store. I downloaded the free version, but I got 30 more seconds before ads popped up again. Frustrated, I went back to the App store and paid the $1.99 for Ad Blocker Plus. The trick is to download the app and it takes about 10 seconds to download. Then on the right side of your iPhone hold down the button on the right until it asks if you want to shut down your phone. Swipe to shut down. Let your phone shut down, hold down the right button on the iPhone and restart it. WOW!!! No more $1,000 pop up offers. It seems like the $1,000 offer is for use who use Safari. Another solution is to download Firefox and use it for accessing Classifieds on the Campfire.

I visit a lot of various sites, but this one is in fact the one I enjoy the most and spend the most time. I get more bugs and redirects saying I won some sort of gift card and it shuts me down and I have to close out the window on my mobile device and reopen it. I had the same problem with android when I used an android devices before I switched to apple several months ago. I personally think this site has way way too many ads, I think the ads are causing the problems. I know its nice to make money and I am grateful for the site but come on man!! this needs to be fixed. I enjoy waking up every morning without even getting out of bed and grabbing my ipad and surfing the latest threads right here. again I am thankful to come here but this needs to be fixed and its been a problem for a long time.

oh and PS, I also had tons of trouble here before I switched to chrome with ad blocker on my desktop, AGAIN TOO DAMN MANY ADS!!!!

On iPhone now. No worries. Or iPad.

No ads, pop-ups or redirects. For every platform folks have told what works. We can't fix it but sure as hell can address the symptoms.


Known to work on Android tablet and phone: Firefox Browser with uBlock Origin add-on.
Known to work on PC running Win 7 64. Chrome Browser with AdblockPlus.

why not remove all ads from the site and bring them back one at a time till we see which ones cause the problems?

All apple, no ad blocker. no bugs, no redirect.

I just ignore that Chevy ad at the bottom of every screen.

I was surfing the ’fire and got an ad on my iphone in Feb 2015. I installed adblocker then and have not seen another ad on this site since. Not a single one.

AdBlock + installed on my iPhone. No popups. No problems.

I have both I pad and iPhone and have been having lots of issues with both. This is the only site I have issues with.

Dolphin browser. It’s free. And ad free.

So it looks like on the iPhone with AdBlock+ work.


Try it. Also, clear your cache and clear your cookies.

Imagine that. A simple solution offered right up for the fellows. Try it. It's just like I learned about Firefox and uBlock Origin.

There's dozens of adblockers. Read what works, ditch the others. On your PC with Chrome try Adblock Plus. Mine has blocked over 2 million ads!

iPhone 8S and iPad Air with ad block and always get the horse chit redirects to prizes and such. Sometimes like right now I am using Firefox and it’s not giving me trouble but sometimes Firefox does it too. It’s been like this for years, sometimes it’s unusable and sometimes I can go through several threads before it happens. Pretty frustrating for sure as this is the only forum that this happens to me on.

This is the most fugged up website for my iPhone or iPad.

On the IPhone are there multiple possible adblockers? You need the right one. And you need to clear cache and cookies and stuff. Maybe too...
