This. Sorry Chet. All I’ve mounted on the ones I have are 44mm and below.

Anyone that bought the Sportsmatch TO84 and can’t use them do to using a 50mm scope, let me know and I’ll buy them from you.

No problem, Form. I used the T084's to mount my 3-15 SS and they fit great. Bought a set of the taller ones for the 3.5-15 NF, and are really too tall, so I am going to try a set of the Leupold Backcountry rings. If the rings heights posted on Midway are correct, they should be about perfect.

I've tried everything listed herein and they are really all good suggestions; however, the best I have used are the Sako/Tikka Optilocks. The biggest drawback is that they are expensive. In answer to the OP's other question, I don't think there is any other make of rifle with which the Tikka shares a hole pattern such that you could use the same bases.

They are the machined ones that fit down on the rail. You wouldn’t be making any $$ reselling.

Got the Leupold Backcountry rings today and used them to mount up a 50mm scope on my Tikka Lite.

They are the perfect height for this scope, weigh a little over two ounces and are finished very nicely for what they are. I am not crazy about the Leupold logo, but I otherwise prefer them to the Talley Lightweight rings from an aesthetic standpoint. Time will tell if they crack less than the Talley's, but they are much thicker through the area where the ring screws are located.

I would like to try a set on a couple of my Model 70's, but they are not available yet.

If the heights on Midway are correct, what Leupold is calling a Medium, is about the same as a Talley Low.

Thanks JG.

Just finished it up and pretty happy with the results. Will undoubtedly see more pics when the sun come up.

Tikka T3X Lite SS in the ever-so-awesome 6.5 Creedmoor. The metal is Cerakoted Magpul FDE and the other stuff is Duracoat OD Green along with Woodland Brown, White, and some sorta of grey, black, and FDE specks and/or squiggles topped with Cerakote air cure clearcoat... That's a mouth full!

MtnBoomer,

Are you stock painting for a fee? And/or ceracoating for a fee?

I like your work!!!

That's what I'm wondering. A quadruple dovetail would be cool too... grin Too bad your dad couldn't mill us out some real quick!!!. I think they need to post up some pics of their set-ups... It would be highly useful..

For hunting, Sportsmatch T084.

Awesome. I like the looks of those.

Those look great Chet. Thanks for posting the pics. I wish everyone posted pics, so we could see the differing set-ups. It would make it much easier.. I ran a set of Warnes on my superlite. They are pigs. When all was said and done, my "superlite" was a 1/2 pound lighter than my pre 64 338wm. crazy:

My next 6.5 creed will probably be a superlite, but I want to keep scope and ring weight down. The leupold set you have looks like it will work nicely..
