Sure looks to the average guy on the street, that Trump is slowly caving. Sure do not see where he is gaining anything. Maybe one of you folks with better foresight could explain hs way of thinking?

Nancy and Chuckles wouldn't go to the border, so he's bringing the border to them in the form of public hearings. Let the Border Patrol and ICE present public testimony about the effectiveness of a wall, and let the Dems ignore it. Makes presenting his case of a national emergency that much stronger. Of course, Dems can present their own witnesses who will testify that walls are ineffective. I'm sure they'll be persuasive. (Sarcasm)

I agree to get our government folks paid. I listened to Trump. If they don't fund the wall in these three weeks it sounds like he will take executive action as he should.
Hypocrite Pelosi stated "we must pay our bills" as she spends money we don't have to buy votes.

Why didn't the Republican Senate pass funding for the wall last year when a REPUBLICAN House sent the bill to them?

Well, the GOP had both houses for 2 years and failed to do anything. I blame the RINO's just as much as the demonrats for the failure to fund the wall.

Trump has Nancy set up, big time. Now he gets to give the STOU address, in the House chamber, on time, with her in attendance. He gives a nuclear bomb of a speech, laying the wall fiasco on the Dems in general and Nancy in particular IN THE HOUSE CHAMBER. Nancy has to stand there and get bitch slapped, in the most public of ways, big time. If he doesn't get his funding in three weeks, he calls a national emergency after having shown his willingness to negotiate and the Dems being hard on obstructionists. This makes it much easier to defend any lawsuit the Dems might file AGAINST THE NATIONAL EMERGENCY. Trump builds the wall, and Nancy takes a hit she may not be able to recover from and might ultimately cost her the speaker ship. MAGA CHESS.
