No loading gate in the side-plate, is there a removable magazine tube or some such? I can walk on water.......................but I do stagger a bit on alcohol.

Both of these guns being 22 long is the fun part of owning them. Another thing you will never find in an old 22 rimfire, is a good bore. Both of these have bright bores, which is more rare than finding the gun. This is a picture of the 22 Long 1873 and the magazine that pulls out of the magazine tube...
