For those of you in this forum not familiar with my handle or my 'presence' on the BP pages, I'd like to ask if you mind if I join ya'll on these Olde pursuits? I do have a lot of experience in DIY endeavors, and I do think I might have the opportunity to be writing on the subject soon in a magazine a lot of you most likely have delivered to your homes. I have been a very frequent visitor to this forum since I first signed up with the Campfire. I have always loved the art work ya'll do..but then I'm an artist and simply love Art in all it's forms (hint;flint:) for one. With approval of the campfire's excellent management team perhaps we set up some form of link to my website. Although I have moved on a bit along the trail of Life, not much has really changed. The Driving passions remain Mind if I join you at Your fire?

Kaywoodie, notice a couple things about you. Kahuna, Texas.I remain curious about your handle. Your link answers my question perfectly. I repeat thank you. In fact I seem recognize seeing before, last time I asked the same question of this board:) Way I see it, you and I have been on convergent trails for a spell. You Shall get the photos you wish to see, in a format to benefit as many DYI enthusiasts as possible. That was my start many, many years ago. It has been the joy of my Life. It continues yet. While I'm getting this photo thing figgered out, the rest of you might start doing our work for us. Here's a List of stuff I do. Flintknapping, Bowbuilding, primitive skills and survival, Advanced tracking skills, Brain-tanning furs and hides Favorite tools, Stone Age, self made, because they are the most efficient. Primitive cordage, fire, and just art for Art's sake. Let's start There. For now.

Being from N. Central PA have you ever been to Whispering Pines Cap & Flint over in Wellsboro for their rendezvous in August?

No I have not oldvet. The man responsible for the efforts at building my own first rifle, lives in Wellsboro. I visit the area as often as possible. Have attended many outdoor related events in the area, including the club just above Blossburg. Have a photo of a powder horn, carved pretty much the whole project with My favorite pocket knife, an old Schrade three blade, at the campfire. I now believe I have the know how to post a pic of that horn. Have good reason to believe I will soon be able to meet w/you at any event you might recommend I visit you there, and begin to learn what you already know:) a really good part of that is...I get to deduct the occasion as a 'business expense':)
