Aww, fer Pete's sake,....

Not a loaded question. My ol' BFF is 2000+ miles away. I don't know if he's going to church or not. Nor do I give 2 fucgs.

For the record, I refused to be a part of the famous alcoholic prank.

Dont know what it means.

Most of the people here(EDIT!!!! Where I live...Not the Campfire" that I wont wave too pride themselves on what "great" Christians they are.

If it means you have to be a jackwagon....then no.

Even after the edit it took me a minute to understand that. Till I deleted an "o".

Open question to an open forum man. But I'm particularly interested in the answer by a particular subset.

I'll check in later, gonna get hammered(er) and enjoy the sunshine by pounding away like a dwarf in my shop.

BillyGoatGruff;
Good afternoon to you sir, I trust that the day in NW Montana was as bright and mild as it was up here and that this finds you well.

I'm cognizant that I fall into the "others as well" category, but since you asked a sincere question I'll respond in kind.

Whenever I meet new folks, I try to be intentional in my conversation so that they know a few things about me up front or reasonably so.

In most instances I try to work into the conversation that I'm a believer in Christ, that I'm married, a father and that I hunt. In a nutshell those factors define the man I am.

No, I do not in any way, shape or form consider myself a good example of a good Christian. I know me way, way too well Gruff and I know the dark soul that lives within.

My relationship with what I believe is my Creator - Christ - is an integral part of how I'm attempting to be a better person than I was yesterday and to keep the darkness within staying there, you know?

I'm not sure how else to articulate it sir, but that's a start anyway.

Sometimes I joke with the guys at work and tell them religion is my crutch because I couldn't handle the alcohol - that's actually not that far from the truth either, but I can say I've been sober for nearly 4 decades now, though I do enjoy a drink now and again I've been able to control that.

Anyway sir, I've got to slide out with the family for a wee bit - we put plates on the midlife crisis/convertible today so we're going to run it up the back road and take the winter kinks out of it's suspension. wink

Thanks for making me think this afternoon and for reading my attempt to articulate a response.

All the best to you as we head into summer.

Dwayne

You Dwayne are a shining example. I well recall you telling me your father told you, "Dewayne, you may be the only Bible some people read."

Deflave is a disengenous hack using religion (or the mockery of) in this case as a joke.
Am I mad?
No but i think it’s a pathetic topic to use as a joke.
Let’s see last year he was drunk in a rehab place (lie)
This year he finds religion.....another lie
When you guys gonna realize this fool is making you guys look like a fool along with him?
I ain’t falling for it.....i know mockery when I see it.

And as individuals, on a one-to-one basis, each with our own strengths and weaknesses, sins and virtues.
