Since I was a child and lived among them, as a young man worked with and for some.
Not 100% but 99% didn't eat meat some absolutely no animal products including eggs or milk, cheese or coffee.
Loma Linda was the only post office open on Sunday and closed on Saturday there was zero meat for sale there in a cafe or store.
You could buy a vegeburger or a candy bar, but absolutely no meat
I even had my JR High boys counselor ask me once if I was a Cabbage Eater because of where I lived, and maybe because my family was religious but not SDA I don't recall why, just that he asked me that.

I recall as a boy a SDA kid being mad and me and wanted to call me a bad name so he stuttered a couple of times and then called me a "swine" I LMAO...it is still funny to me.
