3200 to get the whole thing repainted using dupont chroma base. Damn. Used to be you could get a decent paint job much cheaper. How about just the roof and the hood?

Yeah I know about Earl Scheib,,, I had them paint a Chevelle for me once I was about to sell.
I wouldn't have used them again if it was free.

I use to have friends ask if i could paint their cars, except for a couple really good friends i always said no. there is a good reason a good paint job cost what it does. Yeah, shooting paint is easy. Getting ready to shoot paint . . . not so much. Nice get, BTW. Keep it out of the surf!

Its for my wife so i doubt it ever see's the beach, unless she takes over payments on my stepson's GL550 Mercedes. Then I will use it.

Go ahead and change the timing belt, tensioner and water pump as they probably haven’t been done and it’s an interference engine. The 2UZ-FE engine is one of the best Toyota built IMO! Keep the oil changed and it’ll run forever this was already done by Mr Ritter before he sold it to us.

You got what sounds like an absolutely screaming deal on a rig, hell, practically free if it holds up and one that likely will provide years of dependable service in addition to having a high passenger safety rating. The first thing the old lady wants is to dump in excess of $3K on it in *paint*? What's next, spinny rims and a $4K audio system? Ay, Dios mio, que locura...
