I’m sorry to beat a dead horse guys but I’ve decided I’m almost ready to learn how post pictures. Sam Olson, Salmonella, Kamo Gari, et al have inspired me to get my act together and share some of the beauty that surrounds me. My wife is a fantastic photographer and was doing it as a side job but found out that she was so busy she couldn’t do both her daytime job and photography so she closed her business but still does it for fun and friends. She can likely figure it out and teach me but I have a few questions......
Do we need to use a 3rd party host?
What’s the best free hosting service?
Are there any shortcuts or “best” way to post pictures?
Thanks

Thanks Go to "Image Gallery" here at the Fire. Hit "New Image Gallery." Type a title (in the title box) and a brief description in the content section. Click the red letters that say "Image Manager." Click "Select a File To Attach." This brings you to your computer's hard drive. Navigate to your photo. Double click on it. Wait for it to upload. Click "Post." Right click on your picture, and select "View In New Window." Copy the address line of the new window. Go to the post you want to put the picture in and select the little icon of the mountain scene. Paste the address info in there. Hit OK. You're done.

Thanks I spent hours trying to get my I-phone to post pictures - I can do it fine on craigslist & instagram . Using my old nikon digital was easy on postimage.org . Don't waste your time with ''tinypic'' if someone recommends it - don't listen .

Use Ricks hosting service and your pictures will always be in the threads you create. if you use a hosting service other than Ricks there's always the chance that the hosting service folds and your pictures are gone. Have fun and looking forward to seeing your posts. Here's the link to instructions for the hosting service here. Rick's Link.

And remember the image hosting sites don't explain chitt - you have to figure it out yourself .
Example - ask someone how to make a pizza - reply - go get the stuff and put it in the oven , that's the level of detail I was given when asked about photos from my i-phone .

Sam, the only problem I see with photofu cket is they have a giant watermark across the middle of pics. now and that sucks and ruins the pic.
Aces, what ever site you use there are different options to post so when you copy and paste the URL, hit the preview reply button below your post and look to see if you got it right. If not wipe that URL and try another one from the site. Sooner or later you will find the correct URL to get the pics. to show up. THe hardest part is remembering how you did it the next time you want to post another pic.

RJL, I pay the ransom, $10/month.
Assuming now that you don't see the watermark(on my pics)?
If you do I'm done with those extorting fuuckers.

I will get blasted for this but I still use photobucket.
I did, too, till recently when they barred me from uploading anymore till I pay up. I can still post those pictures that I have there already, though.
