El Paso is probably at LEAST 80 % Hispanic. And probably 30% if those are illegals And for some reason, Hispanics in TX don’t tend to get a Carry Permit. In my over 20 years of teaching the course in TX, I’ve only ever had one Hispanic take my course.
Quite a lot of the ones I hang around do, including most of the re-enactors, in fact the Tex-Mexican Reeactors I know are more likely to be carrying than many of the Anglo's are. A lot of re-enactors are not actually gun people, more'n a few have never fired anything other than powder blanks in their guns, even in Texas.
Good. But San Antonio has a lot more of the old Spanish descended TX Hispanic who bred early on with the early German immigrants to Tx, and for the most part are very conservative. And actually love America.
El Paso, on the other hand, being a stones throw from Mexico, has a lot more of the Indian descended Mexicans and wetback illegals. They tend to think and act more like Mexico nationals than Americans.

The answer to the problem of our society being under attack by armed men is to increase the number of us who routinely carry, and to eliminate so-called "gun-free-zones," which are actually victim-disarmament-zones.

This is enough. I have a carry permit but I seldom carry. I just ordered a desantis ankle holster for my Shield.
Practicing EDC (every day carry) is a great start. If you spend a lot of time sitting, and ankle holster can have it's place, but the predominance of serious EDC is now either strong side or appendix carry. Midsize double stack are also something to consider, think Glock 19 or something similar such as the S&W equivalent.
