It's a favorite of mine, served with rice. I'm surprised there aren't any restaurants serving a similar dish. Anyone else have special casseroles that can only be prepared from home? Not a casserole, but I do make what I call bambischnitzel, which is jagerschnitzel with morel gravy over homemade spaetzle. Add some cucumber salad, bread and a good kolsch or hefeweizen and it’s good eats. Haven’t seen it in a restaurant yet Old70

Top with sharp shredded cheese and bake until the cheese melts.Ground meat and rice is cooked ahead of time. We had it tonight .
