The world thanks you for all those participation ribbons you handed out.
Us Boomers are responsible for a lot of what ales America right now but participation awards ain't one of them.
I think that falls on one of the later generations......millennial's maybe?
Generation X is where it started falling apart.
Every Generation wants to make it better for the next, Generation X was were it became too much. At some point you have to let them fend for themselves, you can't give them a rose garden.
My opinion,...a large part of it is due to the fact that young working people are getting peeled for Social Security that they'll never get while the Boomer generation is drawing it.
But it also has to do with the liberal policies that came about as a result of the 60's upheaval. But even so,..the entire generation didn't participate in it.
All in all,..I just think it's funny when youngsters piss and moan about the Boomers.
JFC, you are a baby, I came out of retirement in 2001 to participate in those wars though on a very minor level.
I always felt that my life was blessed w/ the opportunities presented and have never felt privileged or guilty for taking advantage of gifts available. I think that you represent your generation well and and pass your values on to your children which is all that one can do. Leading by example has proven over millenia to be the secret to great civilizations. Those that can't do, whine on the innanets.

I qualify as a "late boomer" (1959) but was a military brat at remote bases and my dad fought -- so I missed the 1960s garbage and have always hated stoned flower children. My parents did not spoil me at all, and I'm glad.
