Well, they are dangerous, nearly as dangerous as those other inanimate objects we here love.

It might just start by itself and cut a kid............................if it'll save one child, no?

Will Liberty and Canon come out with chain saw safes?

Geno

PS, that saw wasn't purchased in Kommiefornia, was it?

Last place I want to start looking for a lost/dropped key is in the middle of a forest or a pile of chips.

Oh crap. On my phone. I thought you were making a joke with a pic of the air cleaner cover. Then I blew it up a bit.

Does it take an actual key? A screwdriver? Or a knurled knob?

It's the top cover lock... laugh

The chain bar kickback safety lever is the only chain lock. No key required.

I was wondering when someone would figure it out! grin

I believe it is a four position lever that controls choke and run positions plus off. Looks like some over reactions may be present in this thread.

The choke/run lever has no “lock” position.

Pic is referencing the round button that shows a lock/unlock position.

Turns out it’s to be operated via the wrench/screw driver tool.
