Still thinking the 1187 20 compact is wayyy cool! Yes it is. Shot mine today with the 12 ga 1187 . That 20 will make a good little bird gun. Or even 6s for early squirrels They just went to $124 around here. No 12s left anywhere near but a couple 20s. Buddy. Hook me up! One store showing 2 left about an hour away. i was there this morning and some guy from 3 hours away was buying both. Did get a $199 Leupold rangefinder for $54 so it wasn't a total loss.

Good score on the LRF...
A couple 12 ga around here, still $249... An 1187 for the cost of a barrel is INSANE!

Ontario RAT 1's are down to $7 each. Spyderco Resilience's to $13 each. I bought every one they had at the Walmart I went to. Also got one of the Leupold RX-650 laser rangefinders for $54, and 2 of the Nikon Prostaff 10x42 binoculars for $30 each.

Just picked up 5 Ontario RAT 1's for $7 each. Didn't have any of the Spyderco Resilience's. Not many walmarts near me carry firearms so i'm screwed on the Remingtons.

Went to get the rangefinder, my local walmarts didn't show any guns on sale the past few days. Saw a guy in there buying a 1187 and asked if was the deal, he said it didn't show at the store but it was in stock, he was getting a 12, they said they had a 20 in stock. He told me he bought all the rangefinders in all the local walmarts and I was out of luck. When he left, the lady pulled me one out from under the counter.
So...a 1187 compact 20 and a leupold rangefinder for 190otd...good day.

I got a line on a 20, just don't know if I want to go full ass hole on them. I got two stores I've been dealing with and they are playing the 'pretend moron' game really hard. My bud, despite the fact that he has a concealed carry license, held a secret clearance on active duty and got a UPN got put on hold when he went to buy his 11-87. He knew the price was going to drop, so today he gets to pick it up for $124. Bless his heart.

One store shows them at $124, but out of stock of course.

The ones that I've found at $124 are "on hold", supposedly waiting for a background check to clear. They said they have to hold them for 30 days. Never heard of it taking that long to do a NICS check.

If anyone gets a deal on an 1187 20ga compact, and they decide they don't want it, I'd love to get one for my 9 year old. He broke his first clay pigeons this summer, shooting with his older cousins, and now he's hooked!
I'm happy to pay $300, plus shipping to my FFL to get him one.
Thanks!

I had low expectations of my son and I actually getting the two Rem 700 youth 243 combo rifles showing in stock at $89 at our local Walmart but we were able to snag them. I also picked up a Mossberg 835 camo 24" turkey gun for $199.
First we were told they didn't have them. I handed them a paper with the UPC and SKU and asked them to look in the back room. We were told that the key to the storage could not be located. After a long wait they were found but told us it would take a long time since there was a lot of stuff stacked in front of the locked storage. No problem, we can wait. After at least an hour, they were hauled out to the sporting goods counter. The counter clerk punched in the serial number for the Mossberg and said "uh-oh, I can't sell you this because it's not in our inventory." I told him that would be a pretty big problem if they were to be checked. I suggested that he scan the barcode and what do you know, it was OK to sell. The same guy kept scanning the rifles and showing them to his coworker, explaining with a sad face that these are over $400 at Bud's. I had to redo my online 4473 after they screwed up their part. While finishing up my son's rifle purchase they scanned my shotgun which caused a mismatch and another 20 minutes of confusion. The finishing touch was running out of paper when printing their hard copies of the 4473.
I honestly couldn't tell if we ruined someone's scheme or just witnessed total incompetence. Either way, with 2+ hours of frustration, our mission was a success. Thanks Brickseek! (and 24hcf)

SCORE!!
2 Nikon Prostaff 10x42s for $30 each.
1 Gamo .22 cal Whisper Fusion Elite with 3-9x40 scope for $54 (reg $226)
1 Remington Express 20ga choke pack (IC and full choke with choke wrench, since the 1187 only comes with a mod choke) for $10
1 Rem 1187 20ga for $249
PS: if anyone got the 20ga 1187 and needs the extra chokes, I know where 3 or 4 packages are available in the Reno NV area, and I wouldn't mind picking one up for you and mailing it out for my cost + shipping.
