Since I don't eat much KFC, don't really know what their side dishes are, but................there's nothing better than to take a cabbage, quarter it up, put it in a big pot of water, season it good with salt, black pepper, and some red pepper, and boil it until it's falling apart. Fry up some cornbead, crumble it up into a bowl of that cabbage, and it's a meal fit for a king.

KFC buffet starts at 4:30

All of the places here that have buffets had to take chicken livers, frog legs, and crab legs off their menus because the Negroes would crowd around them and scarf them up before anyone else had a chance to get any.

Dropped by the Sparks, NV Walmart on a hunch tonight.

I remembered seeing 2 Nikon Prostaff 3s 10x42s earlier on sale for $64 and I had told myself that if they went down any further, I'd grab them.

Today, Brickseek said the price had gone down to $30, but reported that there were none left at that store.

So I walked into the sporting goods section and got down to peer into the bottom shelf of the locked glass case, and right there, just behind a Nikon Prostaff 7s 10x42 box, was the edge of a box on which I saw "3s".

I called in a manager (the regular attendant was on break) and asked her to take out the binoculars from that section and scan them for me.

BOTH of the Nikons I had seen before were there, tucked back in the shadows behind the 7s. She scanned them and I went home with 2 for $30 each. My grandkids are going to love them!

Just curious - what is the barrel length on the 12 gauge 11-87’s.

the 20 gauges are “compact’” with 21” barrels which I thought would be too short, but the buggers balance really well and make excellent bunny brush guns.

Score for Czech. I had to go to the state capital aboot 25 miles away and did get an 1187 12 gauge for $249 and A-17 for $184.

Both great for stuff I didn't really need but great deals nonetheless I can see the 1187 for waterfowl in [bleep] conditions and the A17 for some close rapid response vermin control but it still is a awesome deal .

I did snag a couple of Youth Model 700's for $89 each. Freaking ridiculous, as the junk scope that comes with them would probably sell for that in some places. Haven't seen any good deals on scopes around here, but haven't really been looking, as I don't need any.

There are still a few 11-87's out there if I wanted to make a drive and go find them, but I'm done chasing deals this year. I thought about buying one of those Savage A17's, but have never owned a Salvage firearm, and see no reason to start now. Besides, I see no point in a 17 caliber semi auto rifle.

The challenge with the shotguns now is that many of the remaining shotguns are on hold for background check delays. It can be a long drive to go get skunked. I picked up 2 pair of Nikon Prostaff 3 binoculars at $30 a pair yesterday and 3 pair of Nikon Monarchs ($59 each) along with a Gamo Swarm Maxxis air rifle (scoped) for $49

Yeah, I know where a 12 is that is waiting for the background check, 3 weeks now. I wouldn't drive very far to end up going on a wild goose chase. I bought a pair of the Nikon Monarch binoculars last year on clearance and they're good ones, but I'm not a big bino person. Keep a pair in the truck, and a compact pair in my turkey vest, and that's all I use them for.

Now that my neighbor that used to sunbathe has moved, I've no longer any need for that 60X spotting scope either.
