Posted this before,
In 1995 I became involved with an Irish immigrant family.
Dad, Mom, 16 year old son. 3 days off the plane, legal documents, promise of a job for dad,
son had equivalent of diploma. 4 bags to their name (5th stolen at JFK, welcome to America!).
They had to pay living expenses for mom and boy, Dad would be taken care of
by the trucking company that offered him a job at the completion of company paid training.
They couldn't afford housing for the 6 weeks of training, so....
They all took all the jobs they could get, while living in a cheap motel.
In two months, they had an apartment and Dad was off to training.
In six months, the son was taking full time classes in a diesel mechanics course,
and working full time.
In about a year, they were in a house they had bought, with a loan.
This was in Harrisburg Pa.
Any idea how many reparations fans live in that area?
How many have "No Opportunity".

I'm 100% in favor of it. We need to address the debt owed.
Here is how I propose it
Establish the average net worth of every African American in this country
then compare them to the average net worth of their counter part in Africa
we'll pay the difference.

I believe we should be getting them the money they would have earned as an African living in Africa, paying whatever it is over the standard of living they have in America - minus their net worth as an American of course.
I want the African American community in this country to know that I fully support any lost wages they missed out on living in Africa. And they can pay the difference. Should take care of the National Debt.

What we owe the black community is an end to the welfare state and the utter defeat of the democrat plantation. ^^^^^this^^^^^ I was raised with poor blacks in the 60's and 70's. We were all poor. The difference was some of us kept working to improve our lives and some decided to take the free ride. The free ride was a different form of slavery but almost the same. Lots of whites took the free ride as well, we call them all the "free chit army". Soon there will be many more of them than folks that work for a living. Don't see that working out well. So, negative on any more free chit. Get a job and work for it. Praise God you live in a country that still has some opportunity to find work and advance yourself.

Yes, it would seem that if anyone owes them reparations it would be the tribe that captured them and sold them to the Arab slave traders. The rest was just legal commerce.
They are lucky they got out of Africa.

well, if blacks get the money, i want some of the money.
when my slavic ancestors worked 12hour plus days six days a week in the mines, and always owed to the company store, we were treated like ni..ers. fair is fair.
my wife picked cotton too in texas as a kid, poor white crackers. She needs some money too.

I realize a good many blacks were brought over here as slaves, but those people are long dead now. Their descendants have often been treated unfairly, but many are on the welfare train now, never to get off. Do we owe them anything? Isn’t it enough to be in the land of opportunity? They are certainly better off here than in Africa! How do you feel about reparations? I'm in favor of reparations. Italy should pay me for enslaving my Irish ancestors.

No French Bourbon left me a pile of gold and a castle in Ye Olde Europe, I'm descended from my ancestors who were serfs in the feudal system - which is slavery by another name. Throw that in the face of the next uppity, aggrieved black who cries oppression and multi-generational PTSD from their period as slaves in America. I have no sympathy for their seemingly eternal bitching and ever-present calls for 'reparations', they need to get over it.
