This is tough; the .270 WIN just barely edges out the .300 WIN MAG for my favorite.

You know there's so many I'm fond of but think I like the 7 STW round the best.Awesome selection of bullets hard hitting flat shooting and recoil within reason.Also just looking at the case makes me happy.

I don't think that there probably has been a point in my life that the answer would have been anything other than the .30-06. My wife claims that I tend to be a bit inflexible. (In my beliefs and in my joints - I've reached the age where it is possible for some things to be too flexible.) blush

I've had my luck with the 7mm Rem Mag. Got 4 of those. Sample in Savage,Rem,Win and Ruger.
