Never really thought about it, but I guess so, I just wear the clothes my wife gets me. Boots however I have a messed up foot from a break behind the big toe that never grew back together right and looks like a giant bunion. The only thing I can wear are the double H square toes, and the Muck boots, I tired a pair of hiking shoes a couple years ago and blew out the side in less then a week. Nevermind my foot hurt like hell that week.

Think you need to read again, and don't forget to get the context. In other words, to wear cowboy boots in some areas where it might be considered "gay" someone might need to be a little tougher (Or have a good sense of humor).
If I see someone in city clothes, I know sure as rip they didn't show up to work. Boots, are essential here, heavy , durable pants, long sleeve shirt and a felt or straw hat. A ball cap for tight spots while working.A knife is essential. I don't ride without chinks or shotgun chaps. This isn't fashion, folks it is mostly tools of the trade- except for a good long silk neckerchief, it can be both pretty and useful. Just don't tell anyone their pretty , they would box your nose ( noticed the left handed heeler- not to common)
Have a pair of boots for dress up purposes. Don't have the need to ride anymore. But when I do it is Wilson boots with a good underslung heel and oxbow stirrups. Sometimes Whites but not a fan of riding a lot with a lace boot.
Was in argentina years ago to participate in a cattle performance program. A number of ranchers from Montana went along. While I was working in my hotel room on my presentation, those guys were out dicking around in BA. A guy ran up from behind and stopped them because they were wearing cowboy hats, not something commonly seen in BA. Turns out it was Robert Duvall. He had recently hooked up with a beautiful Argentine woman and spent a lot of time down there.
I read that Duvall is or was really into Tango. In fact, I saw him in an interview where he talked about his obsession with that type of dance.
70's silk pearl snaps with a bolo tie. Life long friend and neighbor of the family wore that type of stuff. Cousin Jerry, KKYX. God bless him and everything he did for GOOD country music. Long live Jerry King.
Have a pair of black cockroach killers, and a pair of elephant skins. Neither fit anymore.
Work boots, 2 pair of leather Crocs, one pair of church shoes. That's all I own. The second pair of crocs was my fashion consultants idea. The 2+ year old pair looked bad, she said.
I wear those things so much in the summer my feet look weird. Snow white, with dark tanned spots and streaks where the holes are.
Jeans when it's cold or I need the protection. The hat is out of place here, mostly. I have worn a breezer and had a leather type to shed rain. Only worn when needed.
Have been pondering a hat of some sort for next summer.
A good friend had a round of melanoma, scary stuff now that I'm getting some gray hair, and have started to grow things on my skin that dont belong. I noticed how brown the inside of my ears are, that got me to thinking...

Parents who say they have good kids..Usually don't!
Chlinstructor, I worked years in Downtown Cow Town. W.L. Leddy’s Ranchwear was and is The Real Deal. They speak Western! Especially to us cowboys. Great place.
Never got the “western” look. Mother of pearl buttons, big belt buckles and conchos; heavily tooled leather belts and tight jeans? I just don’t understand.
