Apparently, they have a lot of free time on their hands.

Should we let them know that if they put it in a metal pot, and put fire (they know about that, right?) under it...... it will get warm! 😁

Where did that happen?

It's an account written in the memoirs of Cecil Rhodes.

They could use that thing in Angola as a landmine detector.

They do, but they generally aren't pushing those wheelie thingys in front.

The Ashanti kingdom was and is called “The Kingdom of Gold” for good reason, their traditional leaders needing supporters to help them move around when in full regalia. I’m pretty sure their traditional gold mine is long since played out though, cleaned out during the colonial era.

What does an uncut diamond-bearing rock look like?

At least some of them do, every where I went in Ghana people would feed me for nothing, with food cooked in big metal pots over open flames, asking nothing in return but my company as I was from a land far away and just my being there was a break from the dreadful monotony of subsistence farming.

OTOH I never saw a pot to pee in, rich or poor so when I say I was fed by people so poor they didn’t have a pot to pee in I’m only speaking metaphorically.

I always figured there’s going to be some real surprises on Judgement Day.

JMHO
