What kind of dickhead would say you don't need glass in dense woods?

Go tell that to any esteemed professional hunter.

You don’t have to quite double that 300 bucks. Keep an eye out for a used pair of Zeiss 10x40’s.
They were once the glass all were compared to. Still plenty good. Hasbeen

Idk. Sounds like you have a problem.

You gonna sit there and tell me all that glass is needed for a specific type of hunting? You HAVE to have it, right? Can’t get it done without it. [bleep] you.

Somebody needs to mow more yards to afford better toys is what I’m seeing and binoculars aren’t needed to see this either...😎

Buddy, I probably have better glass than you’ve ever dreamed of. I just don’t need 8 different. I damn sure won’t sit here and try to justify it if I did.

Oh come on phuqk face! You own one pair of binos because your dirt poor! Why be so angry at a man because he can provide for his family and hunting activities! What's the real problem here? Somebody fhuqk your old lady because Sandinhercrack can't do it proper? Mix it up a little friend, maybe stop being a ppprick as well and your old lady might not fhuqk around! Happy wife happy life! If all you can give her is a 30 second whine and biotch like a little wuse she's going to have to get that crack filled one way or another! My first guess is your likely imputent

Your lack of manhood and insecurity shines thru like a bright burning light. Boo fhuqking Hooooo, so you only have one pair of bino's. Knowbody gives a phuqk

scott,

I'd lean 42mm if low(er) light capability is compulsory - particularly in this price range.
Seems the Meopta Optika 8x42 was built to compete at the precise level you're looking.
Based only on experience with other Meopta products – and feedback from others whose opinions I value, Meopta seems to always outperform the given price point it resides.

I'm not a big fan of Vortex Vipers. I bought the German Minox 10x44 when Doug had it for $300.. I found it superior to my Vortex Viper 10x50's in view, sharpness and ergonomics.

In addition to the sharpness of the glass, I'm talking about little things that make a big difference in usability: like how the eye cups click solidly into place as you raise them up (or down when wearing glasses - with plenty of eye relief); how the diopter won't be easily bumped out of position, leaving you with a fuzzy image; how easily the lenses line up with my eyes so I don't have to jiggle them around, giving me a sharp view all the way out to the edges; how the focus is smoother and not as fast, making it easier to zero in on a target.

Doug told me the sharpness of this Minox is somewhere in between the Vortex Viper and the Vortex Razor - I haven't used the Razors, but from my experience with the Vipers, I believe him.

If you get your hands on the Minox, you REALLY won't be disappointed!

I can’t speak to Meopta bins, but I have their S2 HD spotter relabeled by Cabela’s. The glass is on par with Swarovski glass IMO, and yes, I’ve spent hours looking through Swarovski glass as well.

I can’t imagine their binoculars would suck. I’d go with Skane’s suggestion. 😎

I'll assume from the "PA" moniker that you're not in the Rockies, and your hunting area is not 10,000 acres of wide open ground. Accordingly, I'd recommend a quality 8x32.

I recently ordered Nikon Monarch 7 8x30 binoculars to be used as saddle bag and 4-wheeler glass.

They are okay.

Bino's are kinda like fencing pliers, I like to have 'em in every vehicle.

Keep some chitty Bushnell 10x42's in the SxS.

Old Nikon Monarch 3 10x42's in the feed pickup.

Tract Toric 10x42's in my personal pickup.

Swaro SLC 8x42's stay in the house or the rare chance I actually go hunting they come along.

I’ve heard good feedback on those.

What size? What made ‘em stand out to you vs the others?

Just curious. Hell, my eyes make optics decisions I can’t even mention in open forums.

Yes, but at twice the price of what the OP was asking for.
