Well, hell...a Rem 76000 OUGHT to shoot well!

At least 10-X better than a 7600 laugh

I had one in Kodiak and it was indeed a fantastic shooter. I always wanted a stainless one in a "Guide Gun" configuration. Would have been the ultimate fast action, close quarters medicine for coastal browns.

Why? Most of them shoot like that. Regardless of the caliber.

People who have never owned or used one claim that the Remington pump guns are not as accurate as their bolt guns.

And the people who own and shoot them just chuckle at those statements.

I acquired the smaller brother of the 76000, the Rem 7600 in 35 Whelen.

It was my #1 Deer Killer for over a decade. The Whelenizer is the SCHIZZ.

My EX was lightning with a pump action, she shot one for skeet and trap doubles. Unless you were paying attention you couldn't see her work the action she was so fast and accurate. I bought her a 760 in 270 to replace her Rem 700. It was very accurate, rivalling some of my best varmint rifles.

Since then I picked up a 760 in 35 Rem that I leave at my BinL's incase I decide to fly back home for a deer hunt.

After the first shot the rest are just noise.

My 7600 in .30-06 also groups quite well. Top group is 165 Game Kings...bottom is LC 168 grain match.

That is true, on a general basis. That said I did not expect .85" at 100 yards from the 200 TSX and certainly not .54" from the TTSX!

I have an old 760 that I think would be a dandy in 9.3x62 with a ghost ring set up.

The trigger needs mucho help though.

Who is the go to trigger guy on 760/7600's? I think a name was recommended here some years back?

I love my Carbine. It too loves the 200gr TTSX. I need to start loading for it.
Weighs 6-1/2lbs bare.
Not as loud as I thought it would be. However there’s a small fireball when touched off.
