This is coming from a state has been shutting off electricity to thousands of customers for months... This. Our legislators have a hidden agenda. What could that possibly be? What would shutting the power off gain them? They have talked about taking over control of the power company, for example. Seems highly socialistic. Some of the talk is for turning PG&E into a consumer owned utility..............hopefully like our Co-op. State owned, probably better than the way PG&E is run now............................but not by much. Geno "Consumer-owned utility" unfortunately would mean that the same liberal dunces controlling California's politics would be making the decisions for us.

Geno "Consumer-owned utility" unfortunately would mean that the same liberal dunces controlling California's politics would be making the decisions for us. Not if they turned it into an entity like our Co-op. Ours runs great, cheapest rates in the State (as they're not in it to maximize profit), and they actually spend money on repairing infrastructure, like the multitude of poles they replaced this summer. Before they fell and caused problems. When the utility is owned by investors expecting a certain level of return every quarter, you can dang sure figure that repairs and maintenance fall down the list below shutting off power to the customers. When the customers are the owners, things work differently. Geno

Let's see, every time the winds blows the power gets shut off, and yet they want everyone to have means to cook to be only electric? Is this the long term plan for the libs? No way to cook so everyone starves?
Just can't help but giggle a little at their way of thinking. Put everyone on an electric system that is unreliable and then tell them that they can't have a gas stove. Brilliant thinking.

Laws aren't preventative measures. In other words, more laws won't prevent gun crime from happening.

Apparently there's no need as we are "self regulating" perhaps?
Maybe there's a clue there?
Of course, the Commission will not be anxious to relinquish power................they never are.

See my earlier post. We're all going raw and vegan here................no need for cooking vegetables. Celery and cauliflower taste great raw! Geno

Don't miss the real point of this. They can more readily shut off your electric than they can your gas. All about control.

Reliable wind is a great asset.
You tap into it yet on a small scale for outbuildings and such? Maybe for wells, combined with some solar it might be a good way to go. Thinking I need to figure out a set up here for that. I can cook on the wood stove, or out on the BBQ grill in the summer. Only thing I really need electricity for is the well.
In case of the zombie pockalips, ya' know.

I will wait a while longer for the call........ Sell them your wind Jim..... Problem is when the wind blows they have to turn off the power to prevent arcin&sparkin lines from burning the place down........ they are in a fix....
