Seems like a winner! Congrats.
I know of a fellow that killed quite a few deer with the 17 rem and 25 grain hornadys with behind the shoulder shots.

There was a young lad on TexasBoars site who used a 204R on the family ranch - lots of big hogs . Members always asked why the small caliber - answer - cause that's what i have .
Head and neck shots will do the deed with sub-caliber cartridges .
Good shooting The Kid !

Pulled off a pretty good one on my way home from work today 17Rem 25gr Hornady HP I will now have to bow to the Master! Rifle is the same, but in the much larger .223 Do I get any style points or anything cause the pig is a tad bigger?

I need the extra help when you are going after them with a vintage .17 Rem.... But I feel I've been de-throned!

It’s admittedly not my normal pig rifle but was all I had in the truck besides the 2” Combat Masterpiece. I could have done some real damage if I’d have been carrying the normal AR full of 77TMKs. Had about 15 pigs with him but headshots on 30mph pigs are tough. The AR is back in the rig now for the next rodeo.

We have feral hogs in a lot of places in Ark but none that I know of close enuff for me to hunt frequently.
Good Luck on the next rodeo.

Glad we don't have em but if we did I'd be using a .17 on them. Good shooting.

.17 HMR with FMJ ammo is a surprisingly effective hog killer. Of course, ya gotta hit’em right.

That 25 grain .172" Hollow Point at .17 Rem speeds kills a lot better than it should...
