A puzzle to me that an area Cartel leader with abundant funds to throw around WOULDN’T know who carried out attacks on that scale.
Surely some Narcos have family ties to the locals the LeBarons were reported as leaving high and dry. Destroying a whole community downstream, even if not proven, is gonna generate some serious ill-will. The sorta thing our own Indians might have pulled if there were Escalades and AK-47’s back then.

A enclave of mormons still practicing polygamy for access to young pussy and multiple wives. With dual citizenship playing both sides for their own enrichment and benefits and deviant ways.
Gets involved in a squabble over water rights supposedly.
And some of em get ambushed and killed " mistakenly" per that article.( which was pretty horrific)

Jim, It's only pertinent if it related to the reason behind the hit. There are some stories that member of this community were involved in the NXIVM Sex Cult, and recruited the daughter of one of the Mexican drug lords. I could see where that might not end well.

The idea that it was a mistaken hit among drug cartels is absurd. They are supposed to be shooting short Mexican adult men who have machine guns, and instead, at close range, are shooting 5 foot 9 inch blonde American women, with little 9 month old children.
