The card is not a bad idea, a flowery note with it. Reminds me of a Birthday card my dear mother got me one year. Had a lion on front like on the veldt. Said something like "To my son". I open it up and say to her, "Maw? Is there something I need to know? Do we need to talk??" She says "no, why?" I asked her if she read the card. She said no she just thought I’d like the lion on it. Inside card starts out "You are a strong, young, black man,,,,,,,,,,,,!" We got years of laughs off that one!!!!

I could use some good ideas!! Handmade stuff. Soap, bath stuff, jewelry, stuff on a shelf to dust. LL Bean makes some tough canvas shopping bags you can monogram. Not romantic, but practical as hell. They also do a pretty good job on slippers, and throw blankets. Check for online discount codes. Pajamagram is ok too. Books. Check out best sellers, and newly published. Peace and quiet...ok....going hunting.

She got me the dvd set of the sitcom “Coach” a couple years ago. She’s never been much for tv sitcoms, but she really enjoyed watching “Coach” with me.
I’m thinking really hard about getting “Cheers”. I think she’ll like it, and it’s something the two of us can enjoy together.
Other than that, I’m at a loss. Maybe a mighty or something.

We both have all that we need so... I am taking her on a 2 week Caribbean vacation. I have already got her all that she needs/wants so this we can share together. We leave January 6th.

She's getting me--the same thing she got the last 47 years . I am getting her, and we are both happy with our gifts! I think!  The kids and grandkids do real well though!!

I just make mental notes throughout the year
We rented a cabin a few months back and it had a nice Duvet she really liked, so I made a mental note that is what I'm getting her for Xmas.
I wish she'd do the same for me. I'd like to be surprised once in a awhile in a good way, not a novelty t-shirt kind of way

She has bugged me for years for a stand mixer, so I think I will do that. Also, a box full of fun items from Korea and Japan as her "stocking." It should be a good way to go.

New treadmill, our old one served us well for 15 years and 2500 miles.
New Macbook Air, her 10 year old one served her well. (Costco $799!)
A new Ipad for her business travel for movies, books, etc.
