This is great..... kinda reminds me of Bricktop and road trip ass whoopin's...... Hardin is no bueno tho.... Browning, now that is a proper spot..... No disrespect brother Dwayne but B.C. will not work, folks are too damn friendly there... irfubar; Good afternoon to you sir, I hope the weekend's been to your liking as well and you're all well and getting more or less lined out for the Christmas season. While the interior is typically not too, too bad for driver's being polite, it absolutely does not prevent them from being abject idiots when it comes to driving habits - doubly so when it comes to icy conditions unfortunately. Anyway, not to cast any aspersions on the good folks there, but I'd nominate Babb, MT as an appropriate meeting place. Last time we were through it didn't look like there'd be difficulty for the offended parties to find each other, no? Merry Christmas to you and yours sir. Dwayne

Always the gentleman!
I really wish I had the foresight to pm you. I bet I was within 20 min. of you.
I too often get a foot of the go pedal and start watching the miles/days melt.
My loss, sir.
Hope you and yours had a good ‘merican thanksgiving and a terrific Christmas or boxing day!
ironbender; Thanks for the reply and yet again for the kind words. We're doing really well for the most part thanks and as long as the weather cooperates will have our family together for Christmas. The weather gets mentioned - yet again - as our youngest and her partner are down in the Lower Mainland, so it's a 4-5 hour road trip east for them to get here. My goodness I do hear you on getting places when I'm on the road too, so no harm, foul or ill feelings from me whatsoever. Sometimes the pull for home gets louder than any other call and one has to put the hammer down and get there. Should that ever change for you though, for sure the offer is open to give us a shout. All the best to you and yours again this Christmas. Dwayne

You got a HOCKEY team there Dwayne?
Maybe play against Kelowna.
I could probably get fired up to do some boot swinging watching the kids play too.
Hope the rest of your winter goes well up there. And yes, good tires (tyres?) are a must.
Geno Valsdad; Good evening to you sir, thanks for weighing in and adding to the entertainment in a positive way. We've got the Penticton Vees locally, which is one league below the Kelowna Rockets. While I'm honestly not a huge sports guy, we do occasionally go see the Vees play and usually it's really good, fast hockey. If I'm not wrong, Kelowna will host the Memorial Cup next year too, so that should make for some fine hockey. Anyway sir, thanks again and Merry Christmas to you and yours. Dwayne

A good season to you Dwayne, and that lovely family. wabigoon; Thanks kindly my friend, we're hoping and planning for that and may I return the thoughts to you and your fine family. As mentioned, barring "interesting" weather, we should be together this year for Christmas so that will be nice. There are a few other peripheral family issues which may affect our season, but these are such that it's not in our control whatsoever, so if the Good Lord sees fit we'll have an uneventful and restful season. Most of our shopping is done, the trees are up and the firewood for the next couple of weeks is now at the house, so we're doing what we can! Merry Christmas to you folks my friend. Dwayne

I get hungry after I whip ass! Jim; Good evening to you sir, I hope this finds you and your wonderful family well and warm. It's honestly been decades since I've personally been through Ft. St. John, but have friends who have kids who live there and a nephew in Grande Prairie ends up there for work reasonably often. The google says there's 21,000 residents there and if I don't miss my guess, it's likely got more amenities than some places of that size as it'd be the service center for a fairly wide swath around it. As far as Taco John's goes, I'm not familiar with it being north of the medicine line, but likely there's Taco Time and Taco Bell franchises up there? All the best to you and yours this Christmas Season Jim. Dwayne

I dont want to offend some Canadian and make his wife a widow..... Jim; Mostly it's called back bacon I'd think on our side of the medicine line, but we're familiar enough with traveling US folks that we'd be able to get you what you were looking for - if it was there. Honestly I don't recall seeing it near the "regular" bacon in the grocery stores, but perhaps it's a deli section thing? Do look there before unleashing any fury on an unsuspecting citizen for sure Jim.... What you will not find up here with regularity is biscuits and gravy. There's a new Popeye's franchise in Penticton, however if the dining experience is regularly like what my good wife and I experienced, well to be charitable I'd suggest you could do better. Anyway sir, once again Merry Christmas from our house to yours. Dwayne

Honestly I can't say I've had that particular gastronomic experience, but in the spirit of Glasnost I'd likely give it a try. If one is open to trying local craft hop filled products, then one can't be too finicky a connoisseur, can one? Anyway, once our kids get here for supper - oh I see headlights on the drive - so I must sign off and leave you all to plan each other's punishments as you all see fit. Thanks kindly for the chuckles this afternoon gentlemen. Dwayne
