Want to start a 300 H&H build off pre 64 action, I have a few 30-06 rifles I'm looking at just for their actions. Question is what is a decent price if i were to just find an action alone, and second question is there anyone that has an action they are wanting to sell and for how much?
Probably better to buy an entire rifle and sell the parts you don’t want. There are some parts unique to the H&H cartridges that may be difficult to find if you don’t start with an H&H action and magazine. Redneck is knowledgeable about this and may be worth talking too.

Sound advice here ^^^^^^^ ... Been down this road with a Post-64. It is do-able. However, simpler to start with a M70 action originally set up for H&H length cartridges.
To further what I'm looking for, this build will be a few years in the making. I already have a custom 300 win mag on a Husqvarna that I'm looking to sell, a custom 6.5-06 on an FN, a stock 270 featherweight on a pre 64, and a 308 on a Husqvarna. I'm a fan of calibers that you don't hear much about anymore, hense the reason I'm wanting a 300H&H. I will hand load. This rifle will be fitted with a custom piece of Turkish walnut, not sure the barrel yet (Pac-Nor, Krieger, etc.) by the time I get to that point hopefully Pac-Nor is up and running again. I'm not opposed to a Mauser action, heck the pre 64 was modeled off it. I'll try to add some photos of my custom rifles to give an idea of what I'm after. Thanks for all the advice.
I have a pre 64 model 70 action that i would sell.
