I use it regularly. I can check in with the dog park group and see who's going. I have watched grand nieces and nephews grow up on it. Lots of good hunting and fishing reports. I use it extensively for work.

I suppose they do mine my preferences, this was at the top of my feed just now, I don't click on a lot of stuff usually, just let it slide by but this type of political content is the only I see on my page. I guess most on my friend list are conservative leaning and I get no liberal bleeding across the line.

It could be worse. Not having Facebook keeps you from attending events that would probably be filled with people who have and use Facebook.

Along with religion type stuff, that crap should be unconstitutional.

Favoring one form of social media (and its owners) over another. Shame.

Did they put it out for competitive bid? Maybe instagram or tweeter might have won out.

I do. Have to for work. Tried to get off of it a year ago because it’s mostly stupid gossip. Due to the business I’m in, restaurant, bar and hotel, I have to manage what people post. There’s always someone posting something good or bad that has to be filtered for the general public. I fired an employee for posting “full moon and private party tonight, pray for me”. Someone in the party saw the post. Cancelled the party 2 hrs prior. Cost me $5k in lost revenue! That’s what I hate about social media. Years ago it was just chatter. Today everyone wears their feelings on their sleeve.

It’s a good way to keep up with old classmates and family though. Without FB I’d have no idea it’s someone’s birthday. lol.

I use it, very handy if you know how. I've made great buys, sold a fair bit as well, and will continue to do both. Easily the best classifieds in the area.

Belong to several groups where I've learned a lot of very specific information that would have been very difficult to acquire otherwise. Then there's the memes...

It's as useful or useless as you decide to make it, just another tool.

Yep, "free". All the data they can gather and probably ads too.

And the "taxpayers" have to use the farcebook to find out what the hell is going on in their school districts, city govt, etc.

I’ve used Facebook as a tool for communication, advertising, catching up with old friends. I haven’t used it much the last few years because the libs use if so much for bashing it makes me nauseous.

But I have to admit these last few days it’s been a great tool for getting the word out and keeping track of what’s going on here in VA. The usually quiet conservative people are pissed and not afraid to say so.

Facebook is great for trolling old fools.

I infiltrated a 50 year high school reunion page, had dopes on a treble hook about me being a long lost classmate that had been supposedly dead.

Had a bud that lived in that community spoon feed me the particulars. (It was his great uncle)

Created a profile just for it.

Good times
