Those are superb bears. Somebody obvioulsy knows how to hunt and can judge big bears.
Since those skull sizes correspond with bears of those measurements, obviously someone can also read a tape measure and didn't forget to divide by two.
Congratulation on two absolutely wonderful trophies. they don't get much bigger.

Nimrod is not a perjorative, BB. Nimrod was a Biblical hunter and the term is sometimes applied to all hunters. So yes, BB, you are a nimrod, among other things, mostly not bad.  I'm sure your right, he certainly wouldn't have used it with the other meaning in mind......<grin>. Appreciate the kind words....heh.

That's one lucky kid! Good job! What part of the state is Paradise in? ????? There's a small chain of Islands off the Alaska mainland due west of Afognak Is. IIRC, "Paradise" is located on one of them. I flew over and would guess that it was at least 50 miles from Afognak. My wife of 30 some years tells me that I'm old and get mixed up rather easily though...  bhtr
