Amish do not have the Constitution on their side. Constitutional protections are reserved for US citizens in good legal standing. The Amish dont fall into that category because they do not adhere to local, state, or federal laws, the most notable and obvious example being the selective service program.

Wrong. Nowhere in the first 10 Amendments of the Constitution is the word "citizen" to be found. What you would typically find, were you to read it and it appears you have not, is "The right of the people....". That means every person who stands on American soil, regardless of how they got here, is protected by the Constitution. You may not like it, but that is the way it is. The Bill of Rights protects everyone, including undocumented immigrants, to exercise free speech, religion, assembly, and to be free from unlawful government interference. Undocumented immigrants charged with a criminal offense have the same due process protections as everyone else, the right to a speedy and public trial by jury, the right against unlawful searches and seizures, and the right to an attorney among others. Status as a non-citizen in no way affects the procedure of a criminal trial, such as the burden of proof that the State must meet, or the presumption of innocence.


In the interests of historical accuracy....

1. "Citizen" is found in the body of the COTUS about 11 times, IIRC.

2. The Constitution was for those living in the USA and their posterity. Says so right in the document.:
"We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."

I don't see anything about securing the blessings of liberty for immivaders, strangers, or Somali refugees that happen to set foot on American dirt.

3. One of the first acts of congress, the Naturalization Act of 1790, enacted in the spirit of the COTUS, allowed naturalizing only "free white persons."

Follow on acts extended the period of residency to become naturalized from 2 to 10 then 14 years.
