Negra Modelo. If I wasn't so fugging fat I'd drink it more often.
Love the flavor & the heaviness when nothing else is involved. Summertime & food cancels it for me.

I picked up a bottle of Yellowstone Select Bourbon today and it is nice, not complex but a very pleasant sweet bourbon with vanilla, caramel, light fruit notes in the neck pour.
The Evan Williams Bottled in Bond that others have mentioned hits well above it's weight class (price pt.) and Old Forester 1920 is my current favorite bourbon.

Felt like Scotch tonight: The Balvenie 14 Year Caribbean Cask and Aberlour 12 yr. Two outstanding choices... Both gifts from my son. My latest from him is the Nikka Coffey Malt. Haven't popped that one yet. I find it medicinal, personally... but maybe Thomas found a better batch. I hope so too. My experience with other Japanese whisky has been favorable so far.

Kirkland blended 12 year scotch with yerba mate bitters on ice... does not suck and it is cheap...

Four Roses Bourbon. First time I've tried it, not too bad but there are many better. The cheap Four Roses?? I couldn't get past the first sip. Four Roses Single Barrel is good. And I've heard the Four Roses Small Batch Select is good, too. Regular Four Roses is OK for cheap bourbon. Four Roses Single Barrel is terrific, well worth the extra $. My favorite bourbon? Angel's Envy.

I went for The Famous Grouse Smoky Black. It is much better than I thought. I didn't expect too much at the low price point. The bird starts out rough, but settles in to a nice smooth smoky scotch. Thank you for the good consul.

Finding out what all the hoopla is over White Claw. I bought a variety pack. First one down, grapefruit. Rather tasteless. Same abv as Widmer hefe, my usual beer.
