Got a call from an 80 year old amigo last week. Stage 4 lung cancer, 3 to 6 months if he does nothing. Maybe 1-1/2 to 2 years, if he does the chemo regimen. Quit smoking over 50 years ago, but continues to inhale dust and diesel fumes up to the present time, moving dirt.

Bad news. They have made some very positive strides in treating lung cancer genetically modifying the patients own blood. Hopefully he can get the best treatment and make a recovery.
We lost a young nephew to lung cancer a few years back.

I remember watching the TV show he had, back when I was in high school. That quickly went by the wayside, and he concentrated on radio.

The guy is an absolute pioneer in radio broadcasting, whether you like him or not. The other amazing thing is that he’s STILL as relevant and regarded as he was when he started. Not many folks can say that. Howard Stern’s “”schtick” got old a long time ago. Plenty of others have come and gone. Rush is STILL at the top.
