Parts are made by Meopta but they are not the same. It wouldn't make sense to make an exact Meopta scope and put another label on it, Meopta continues to have their unique glass and glass coatings that seperate their scopes from other scopes.

No more info on the Optika5 scopes that I can find. Itching to make that the VX3 of my rifles - a scope that looks good, does it all, and is backed by a great warranty.

This may help, or not...
Meopta USA Sport Optics is pleased to introduce the
1-inch, Optika5 series of premium riflescopes. This newest Meopta riflescope line features a 5x zoom, zero-reset turrets, and advanced MeoBright lens coatings that deliver edge-to-edge clarity and exceptionally bright, sharp images.
Available in 2-10x42 RF (rimfire), 2-10x42, 3-15x44, 4-20x44, 4-20x50, and 4-20x50 RD models, the Optika5 riflescopes are available with reticles in the second focal plane. All come with capped hunting turrets made of rubber-armored metal for the perfect combination of durability and functionality. The rear-facing magnification display allows for easy viewing of the power setting from behind the scope, and the zoom ring comes with a multi-position throw lever for quick adjustment of the power setting in the field. Windage and elevation adjustments are ¼ MOA.
“We wanted to offer a more advanced line of 1-inch riflescopes and have achieved this with our new Optika5 series,” said Pavel Stastny, Senior Director of Sales and Marketing at Meopta. “In addition to exceptional low-light performance, these scopes offer popular features like the rear facing zoom display and multi-position throw lever on the magnification ring. Now hunters have a choice between our award-winning 30mm Optika6 series, and our new 1-inch Optika5 series of riflescopes with many different models available in each line.”
All Meopta Optika5 riflescopes are made of aircraft-grade aluminum alloy and feature:
- One-piece tube design
- Zero-Reset setting for quick return to zero
- Zoom ring with a multi-position throw lever
- Rear-facing zoom display for easy viewing of power setting from behind the scope
- MeoBright anti-reflective lens coatings
- MeoShield anti-abrasion lens coatings
- MeoDrop hydrophobic lens coatings that repel rain, dust and grease
The new Optika5 riflescopes will be on display in the Meopta Booth (#10176) at the 2020 SHOT Show.
Retail Pricing: From $349.99 - $549.99

I don't have any idea but I would guess them to be similar in weight to the MeoPro line of rifle scopes. 15.9 oz for 3-9, 4.5-14x44 18 oz, these are just guesses until I get firm information.

Great scopes, now up to 4 now, if you count a Zeiss Conquest which was made by Meopta. Two new Opticka 6 scopes with the Dicroic BDC reticle. First range trip today, very clear and bright, tracking and adjustments were perfect. Only time will really tell however. Have not really seen any others that match them for the money. Only complaint, is that the Opticka 6 line is a bit porky at 27 ounces.

I’m a big fan of meopta.
Several scopes amd the cabelas badged euro binos.
Want to try out the optika6. Reports seem to good on those.

One just was added in the classifieds. IMO for $280, that’s where it’s at.

Meopta has been working with Kenton to produce Custom Turrets for some of their scopes. At this time I am not sure which ones. I do prefer to not be locked into a cal specific turret even though I have ones for a .243,257 wbymag and a .308. Thanks for the great comments guys. Meopta really moving in the right direction to make scopes that you guys want, more to come!

This is a rare consensus optics thread. I probably just jinxed it.

LMAO, I thought the same thing but I was afraid to say anything. It's nice working for a company that makes quality products that sell themselves. Hopefully one day they will be available so that more folks can look at them before they buy. My buddy who has Swaro. bino now owns 10 and 10X bino's and will sell the swaro's in a heartbeat. The same for a guy I know in NY who always wanted a Swaro. spotter then looked down the tube of the MeoStar S2 and bought it. He'll sell the Sawro too. Quality always sells. My MeoStar 10x42's.

Thanks for a great thread guys. I just found my next scope for my .222 after reading all the info posted. Can't beat the 24 for experience and details.

It wouldn't make sense to make an exact Meopta scope and put another label on it, Meopta continues to have their unique glass and glass coatings that seperate their scopes from other scopes. bman940: I bought one of the 3-9x40 Cabelas Instinct scopes. It clearly has Meopta's name on the scope, and made in the Czech Republic. Before buying, I called Meopta USA and asked the difference between the Meopta Meopro and the Instinct. I was told that they are the same basic parts including glass and erector systems, and the quality and tracking would be identical, with small cosmetic differences on the exterior.

Just got an email about all MeoPro scopes being 25% off at Sport Optics. Must be phasing them out? Tempted to snag one.
