Belt dressing sucks. I’ve never seen it work, and usually the belt noise will come back louder. Shouldn’t have had to use it on a new belt anyway. Something else going on.

In my 4.7 my belt was squealing because the power steering hose had a leak. New OEM belt and hose fixed it. Hose was 400.00 because it had some goofy fitting. There was a generic, but my mechanic insisted on the OEM.

We have a Sequoia now (3rd one) but since the Daughter's off to college and we're not doing the travel ball, school sports thing all the time, we don't need such a big vehicle. Wife wants to downsize, were stuck on Toyota's so it's either a 4runner or GX460. I'd like a 4runner trd pro, but I'll rarely drive it, so her choice.

yep.......its a Prado in the States

My old Dodge truck did the same thing. Put on new belt and it started squealing. The new belt was ever so slightly wider and was touching the side of the pulleys. Hardly noticeable by looking at it, but it squeaked.

Can't remember which brand was which, but it was either a Kelley or Gatorback and one squeaked and one didn't

Since it's only happening after startup, pay particular attention to the alternator. Recharging the battery after startup puts a lot of load onto a very small pulley.

These are your first steps. How is the tension on your tensioner? Belt dressing is not meant for serpentine belts. Make sure your buddy degreases all the pulleys before he installs a new belt so you don't get contamination on that one too.

If not the idler pulley, it could be a bearing in the alternator. Do the pulley first. If it still screams, start it without the belt on for a few seconds, if it stops you'll know to look at the alternator, steering pump, etc.
