I tried Hornady XTP in 180, 200, and 240 grain. All with top end charges of W-W 296. I settled on the 200 grain with the W-W 296. I was concerned about the 180 grain coming apart and the 240 grain had more drop than I wanted from 50 to 100 yards.

Do you have velocity data on these loads?
What was the drop from 50 to 100?

Be very careful with the 200 grain on deer, from a rifle. Have seen a bunch of deer lost from guys that use these. They do not penetrate well at all, especially if bone is hit.

What about the 300s?
