I tried Hornady XTP in 180, 200, and 240 grain. All with top end charges of W-W 296. I settled on the 200 grain with the W-W 296. I was concerned about the 180 grain coming apart and the 240 grain had more drop than I wanted from 50 to 100 yards.

Have seen a bunch of deer lost from guys that use these. They do not penetrate well at all, especially if bone is hit.
