My wife tagged me in a fb post about a recipe for old fashion custard pie, so I took it as a , hint, hint.
I actually like to cook, so I looked over the recipe, and got to work.
I didn't do a crust from scratch, but bought a 2 pack of pre made.
Instead of having a crust hanging around waiting for a later date, I made 2 !
They turned out awesome....
My wife owes me big time !! Big grin !!

Looks good enough to eat. I like baking goodies, the sweets thread inspired me to make some cookies today. (I didn't eat the dough.)

Your welcome.
I used the same crust in the recipe. Got them at Safeway.

My late Mother used to make a great, what She called egg custard pie. Along the line somebody told Her that there was a danger bringing those to various socials, so She quit making those and started making " Chess pies". They were very similar but the egg custard was better. Not sure of the danger and whether it was real or not, as the egg custard was cooked and not raw eggs. Anyway, I like custard pies. miles
