Thinking of using it on Chukars. Just a lite cool little shotgun
There’s a Benelli lite 20 for a grand on the classified. Just thinking a side by side has more classic appeal ? If I didn`t have a Montefeltro, I would be all over the ultra light. Go for it !! https://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbt...fs-benelli-ultralight-20-ga#Post14579363

I wouldn't part with my little SKB 100 for love or money. It ain't the prettiest gun out there, but I shoot it better than anything else and it's a joy to carry afield.

Thinking a Lion Country Ugartechea would fill the bill. My favorite Dove gun.

My Dad has a Italian Charles Daly like this one that he got in the late 60's and hasn't had a problem with it. He hunted with it in eastern Washington for decades. https://www.gunbroker.com/item/851911428I have a 1961 Beretta Silver Hawk that I got in 1987 that I still use today. I got it for $175 which seems ridiculous looking back. If you keep your eye out you'll find something.

Thanks, I know zero about side by sides. I won’t put a lot of rounds through one but don’t want junk. Some particular brands would help my search. Thanks for the info. I think that the first one in the list I sent, the Ithica, is on “old” SKB, which a number of the members are recommending. Current bid is $1125. The old SKBs were made in Japan, as I recall. That company also made the Weatherby Athen and Orion O/U shotguns for quite a while. I have two the OUs and like them a lot. The “new” SKBs are made in Turkey by the same company that makes the Dickinsons.

I am no expert on SxS shotguns. If there is one you are seriously considering, I would run a search over at www.shotgunworld.com to see if the experts there have any opinions on the exact model.

I have a Ithaca 200 E I’ve been using for years. For the money it’s hard to beat. You can find them used on Gunbroker. I also have a Montefeltro. It’s a toss up to which one I grab. Hasbeen

Thinking a Lion Country Ugartechea would fill the bill. My favorite Dove gun. I almost bit on one of their used Grulla's that was on consignment when I was last over there, and the asking price was a steal. Said I would think about it and get back with them. They said make an offer, so there was more room. I waited too long.... Last time I checked their used stock was getting low. However, if one keeps checking they will have some nice ones come late summer at most....

Grulla makes some absolute eye-popping guns !!!!! Just a bit more spendy than I'm willing to bite on.

If one tired of it, they should be able to come back with all the same dollars in their pocket. Addition: Why didn’t I buy it? Answer, I thought it was too nice for what I do. The wood was stunning and the engraving better than nice. Stupid me....

A good friend of mine was out at LCS a few weeks ago. I happened to stop by his place, by chance, that evening. He had picked up a new-ish Rizzini 20 O/U and a well used but well kept plain Jane Zoli that morning. He's ready to truck back out there and take me with him. I can see me getting in big, BIG trouble just walking through their doors. Especially when I'm two Model 21's in the red for the year 2020, already...…...…..
And THEN.........…….there's Cove Creek...……………….. Aye, yi, yi………...… !!

For a couple years I’ve been meaning to go see Cove Creek on a nasty day when I want out.
The people at Lion Country have always been top shelf. Even after ownership changed hands. They especially know what is going on with hunting Dog equipment.

Both are on my "to do" list. I just need to let a couple new side-by-sides blow over for a while...…………...

Not so cool when a repair is needed....
Unlike the Spanish guns where there are Smiths here who work on them....
