[bleep] Navy ships for the flu. Either they aren't telling us the truth or we've hit the tipping point and there's more idiots than rational people now. Tanking the global economy to the tune of trillions of $$ to save a few hundred thousand lives.
If we save a million lives by taking these extreme measures and tanking the economy, and we only cost the economy
one trillion, that's still a million dollars per life saved.
In a world population of 8.5 billion people, one million dead is only .011% of the population.
Mass hysteria on a global level. There are people who's names most of us will never know that will make fortunes untold off the backs of hard working Americans during this exaggerated "crisis" Money our children and grandchildren will be paying interest on. What a touching outlook.

I work for a gov’t contractor providing training and just got an E-mail that said if we travel more than fifty miles from the base, we have to self quarantine for 14 days when we return.

Looking at the exponential growth of this and what present medical facilities have to offer right now and with no vaccines available yet , we have no idea of what the depths of this can lead to. Your numbers and so called examples are based on the present with no consideration for the unknown. ETA: Jm our thoughts pretty much parallel on most all matters. Here’s what Marc’s friend texted him whose dad works for homeland security):
He said that they are preparing to mobilize the national guard. Preparing to dispatch them across the US along with military. Next they will call in 1st responders. He said they are preparing to announce a nationwide 1 week quarantine for all citizens All businesses closed. Everyone at home. They were told to pack and be prepared for up to 30 days deployment which he said means they may extend the quarantine up to 30 days. He told me to notify our family members and have them stock up and be prepared. They will announce this as soon as they have troops in place to help prevent looters and rioters... he said he got the call last night and was told to pack and be prepared for the call today with his dispatch orders. He thinks they will announce before the end of the weekend to keep people home on Monday.
