We call our favorite butcher shop from time to time.

Ask the lady for pork bellies....heads....hearts....livers....and such.

Owner in the back yells up....."is that Conrad?".....

Our Costco in St. George is letting 40 people max in the store. Line around the store this morning. Not worth the wait.

Think he won about 150 bucks in the pool for doing it IIRC
LOL!!!
21 days PZ posture at the end of Desert Storm waiting to leave Iraq and get back to Saudi.

Schit was getting real tobacco wise also.

did you get down to saving and rolling the Pall Mall butts in notepaper?

Geno

Butts were emptied of tobaco and rolled in mre schitt paper.
Copenhagen was recycled into the cans.
Mail call packages saved alot of azzz,s including mine with cartons of marlboro,s
Bedouins sold or traded their beedies (haji ice cream cone shaped smokes) for MRE,s.

They slung load water blivets and mre,s to us.

Entire 1st brigade of the 101st 327th IN approx 1700 Infantryman spread out over about 5 sq miles of open desert in groups of 18 waiting on birds for 21 days.

Good times actually...
High stakes poker/ 3card schit progessive pots
Spades
Improvised football games.
Combat help tag running over vast areas.
Sleep
Eat
Ordered not to shave to conserve water.
Ration your anount of tobacco use to not run out.
No war left to fight.
Remote high western desert waaay west of the 3 lakes.

Them beedies are tasty, eh?

And not MRE tp, but other papers rolled a few smokes for us as kids with butts out of the folks' ashtrays.

When we couldn't get anyone to buy some for us. Or the "note from Mom" didn't work.

Your stories always crack me up. Great attitude for being in a scheidthole doing a thankless job at times.

Bought 4 packs about 15lbs.

At Costco got 20lbs of fresh Italian sausage, 3lb stick of Molinari Salami, two cases of spam and two cases of Dennison's Chili last night

Your first sentence is unfortunately very accurate. That is a huge part of this so called crisis.

Local liquor store isn't short on anything either.

Pharmacy had 1 @ the counter pickup. One waiting, and my stuff was ready for pickup immediately.

Summbitch we might make'r.

Summbitch, you have a butcher shop in your town?

Where you at, how far from me.

Is dandihood anywhere near NE Urth?

Geno

We have several butcher shops in Fargo. I like Prime Cuts, never a frown or crabby person behind the counter, they all look like they're having fun and treat everyone they recognize like family.

This is true.

There is also several small towns in the surrounding area on both sides of the Red that still have butcher shops.
