Eyeball aka jaguartex or vice versa helped me with a question I had about improving the sight picture with iron sights on rifles and handguns. His advice was to purchase a pair of 1:50 readers. By golly, it improved my sight picture and the best part is, he did not bill me for the consultation.

How much do you regret not getting into medical school? None, but the ophthalmologists I worked with wanted me to go. I had my hands full being a poor oilfield workers kid and in class or clinic 55 hours a week and holding down a part time job as it was. According to Jim, 80 hours a week is the new standard for excessively long hours, but maybe only if you’re not making >$12.00/hr. 55 hrs in class and clinic, working several hours a night several days a week, 30 min in Houston traffic each way, sleeping 3 or 4 half nights a week, reading and memorizing books and 5-6 pps of written notes for each of 7-8 hours in class each day, memorizing while driving to work, reading or studying while sitting on the pot taking a crap, etc studying assignments, etc. Yeah. 20-25 hours of sleep a week were plenty for some but rough on me.

Doc is an optometrist. By what I've been able to ascertain, he knows his stuff and has my respect. You’re not too shabby yourself for a DDS. Actually, I have found you 1000 x more accurate in answering and assessments of health questions by members over the years then, say, others who should practice doing harm to themselves, rather than others, by way of practicing medicine.....😎 Harris's pretty astute on political assessments as well. IMO.
