Have heard several people complain they can't find the ammo they need and guns are flying off the shelves. Wait times for Colorado backgound checks were running two days last week.

COVID-19 is a better gun salesman than Obummer.

Approximately 17,800 rounds for .22 Short, Long Rifle and Win Mag

Plus about 2,560 rounds total for the following:
.25ACP, ,32 H&R Mag, .327 Fed. .380 ACP, 9mm Luger, .38 SPL, .357 Mag, .40 S&W, .44 Mag, .45 ACP
.223, 5.56, .22-250. .243 Win, .257 Roberts, 6.5CM, 6.5-06AI, .280 Rem, 7mm RM,
.300BLK, .30-40 Krag, .308 Win, .30-06, .300WM, .338WM. .375 Win, .45-70

Not shown in the photos are over 21,000 primers, over 6,700 bullets, 5000-6000 pieces of brass and a lot of powder in my reloading room..

It pays to be prepared. Obummer taught me that. When I bought my Walther PPK/s in early 2009 it was almost 3 months before I could find components or ammo for it.

Like I tell my kids - we have paper towels, toilet paper and the meat is walking around in the backyard.

I’ve heard reports from multiple small LGS that they are basically sold out of pretty much everything - guns, ammo and mags - and this is even more of a panic than Sandy Hook.

I learned my lesson. I have plenty of everything including primers and powder. It will be a very, very long time before I run out.

Locally its the same thing here.

The difference my friend at the LGS told me is that during the Obama run, it was people on the right side buying everything, this time both the left and right are buying and more first time buyers than he has ever seen. The problem in the snowflake state I reside in is that you need a CC permit or permit to buy long guns, our Department of Safety has shut down from issuing any new permits

I am stocked fine but i have been poking around the sites in the morning. Lots of components are blown out, powder, brass, primers, bullets. Stuff got crazy quick.

Yeah i think most serious shooters should still be stocked up from the Sandy hook/Obama era but there are always the panic hoarders, this should pass very soon 👍......Hb

I just had a NICS (fed system) come back on a firearm transfer in record time. Sucks to be in a commie territory

Just checked with my LGS here in Denver, and wait time as of this morning was 4.5 days. That is up by 0.5 days from yesterday morning.

Been thinking about one. Only thing I ever killed with a bow was a rabbit. That was over 50 years ago.

Better dust it off. You'll be living on rabbits after the liberal potheads that just bought guns kill all the elk and mulies. laugh

I have Granddad's Remington 24 for rabbits. .22 Shorts only, built in the early 1930's. Still shoots great and I have about 2500 rounds for it. smile

What I saw at the gun couters a week ago was people were buying more handguns than long guns by a wide margin. The longguns I saw being bought were .22,s and ARs.

The girlfriend asked me about ammo, I opened the safe in the shop and showed her that we were going to be okay.

I haven't seen any gouging online other than the usual asshats, still buy a case(200rds) of hunting ammo every week for the rifles we have.

I don't remember online vendors selling out as quickly during previous shortages. Pretty wild to see Midway and SOSS out of stock fkr everything on the same day. But as someone already mentioned, the pool of buyers is way larger this time, and virtually none of them load their own. Bullets and hand sanitizer... currency of the end times?!

I’ve learned far too many times when it comes to ammo and reloading. I’m well stocked and rotate in new inventory as I use stuff so I don’t have to panic buy and add to the problem

I use a lot of varget so I keep 3 8lb jugs on hand...each time I empty one I buy another. 3k primers same same, 3k 9x19 same same, 3k of 7.62x39 same same

3k of the bullets I reload too.

I wish I was smart enough to do that with Beer, TP and canned goods. I won’t make that mistake again

They shut down the liquor stores in Denver.

That lasted 3 hours.

The only thing I learned from the Bill and Hillary days (remember the "assault weapons ban" - CCA of 94?) I started buying components and ammo way back then - they taught me a good lesson!
