A year's supply? I thought the check was only going to be $1200?

....back on topic. I didn't read all the responses, but I agree with the original poster. My wife and I can still work right now and our income is going to remain the same. My thought is this should only go to folks who can't work because of the situation or to companies to keep them employed. Not to every person out there (understanding the max income limit), etc....

Make no mistake, I'm going to put it to use but it's just digging a deeper hole for us as a country.

Makes sense right?

They vote don't they? And usually republican (socialist). This is all about socialists buying votes, and that's why Trump is so intense about getting it passed so he could sign it. He needs those votes. He can't risk hearing about any wavering loyalties among the troops this summer, lest that gets out of hand and too many stay home in November (if there is even an election in November).

I'm not so sure. Wealth isn't created by taking from one, and giving it to another, anymore than it is made by printing up paper and passing it out. No economist; but we will lose something for this.

Not trying to be a smart ass, but you can send your check back, or give the money to a needy person or your church.

Not all retirees are well enough off to not need the money.

I don't think most of the kool kids here understand how Social security works..In short..You get X amount of dollars based on your work history..Then they take out Medicare part A and B leabing you with much less..Then there is the option to "buy" another policy to cover what SS's 80% does not..Those policies are expensive..A plan F which cover deductible runs $150-175 a month..Deduct that from all the other deductions and your check ain't much..

If you can't afford the other policy which a bunch of seniors can't,your stuck with paying the 20% Medicare doesn't..That adds up..Take a heart attack/stroke or whatever and that 20% turns into hundreds and thousands of dollars..

So yes,the seniors do deserve a stimulus check morso than many that are going to get one like the Kennedy center for one..LOL

Kinda..They do not understand because they have never applied or been on SSI...Can you eat cheaper at a fast food then buying hotdogs and eggs on special..Hell yes..There is the dollar menu..The funny part of the McDonalds comments on this thread is...Some seniors can't cook because of condition they may have..Try cooking with the shakes that many diseases hand out..Doesn't work out well..

Is senior bashing the new fad here by the kool kids
