Gunner500 gives us “Tool Time for Killers” Gunners current truck accessories for making dum-dums disappear is a Repr stoked with 176gr Lehigh tungsten drill bits, which provide a level of penetration John Holmes would approve of...Grins 😬 Was up late last night reading your thread, had to go to the post office this morning and intercept some kind of damn fed-ex-smart post handoff deal and didn't want to wait for my package til 5pm tonight, getting out of the truck I laughed and thought about this thread. Threw the package on the hood, pulled some "wallet protector/crackhead reforming tools" from my belt and pockets and took a pic for my old Buddy Beav! All that’s missing from your picture is a ultra possessive Healer who loves his truck. Very bad idea touching a man’s truck when a dog is riding shotgun...hint. 😎 Unless it's a Lab.

Be funny as fugg whipping this out if I would have kept it. Lol!!! i was going to ask if it was a Ljungmann, but knowing you, I'm betting on a Hakim AC Code May 44 production WW2 Walther 8mm G43 Hitlers " Garand" All 7#,s match No import marks. Stock had been severely molested by previous owner. That is my work to get it semi original appearing and presentable Woulda been about a 2200 rifle if the stock wasnt fugged with. Original front sight hood missing and cleaning rod Bout 1500 1600 value in the pic. Original mag alone worth 275 300 ish. Ya I stole it for 275....... Aint my job to educate a seller. The 2 you mention were based off this and the soviet svt 40. As were chezch vz 58,s and several other mil platforms. Vz 58 is the apex of the design JMO. The G43 was based off the SVT intially. SVT is a supreior weapon and the grandfather of the design. G43,s had metalurgy issues in the rear cradle area of the receiver. 275 bucks " didnt work" per previous owner. 2 days of me 100% disassembly and cleaning and assembly got it up and running. Took it out to slumlords. Ran 10 thru it fast as i could squeeze the trigger. Next clip started failure to extract and eject. Had a tiny screw adjustment for extractor tension and retention. Feild stripped it , tiny spring pops outta extractor. Fugg......... We searched for it then had ta roll back to his house get a metal detector to find it. Gawd..... I coulda bought a new spring kit for the entire rifle for around 95 bucks. Between that and the metalurgy issues. Made the decision. Was gonna keep it Take it on a token deer hunt once in awhile. Then thinking about parts to be found if somethng went south. Traded it for my Arsenal SLR 100H type 3. No regrets..... Rather have a working tool than a collector " my precious type of thing". 4 VZ-58's, amongst "acquaintances". .

Lots of sweet ARs in this thread. Now that I'm in a free state I need to get into this game and build an AR pistol and an AR carbine.

Some of you gents know how to put together a fine operating battle gun yourself, or you know what to buy off the shelf, maybe making some part changes to improve your AR’s performance and reliability.
I have no such experience on how to build one out, or what aftermarket parts to add.
Here’s my question...I bought 3 Sig M400’s years ago. Two carbines and one shorty....
I went with the Sig M400 because at the time they had pretty good reviews on functionality and above average accuracy. They are pretty accurate and haven’t caused me any repeative malfunctions...Which is good.
With that said...If I wanted to buy a turn-key AR shorty in 5.56 is there a couple manufactures and models you would suggest that make an all around, solid, weapon?
If my Sigs are good to go, I’m happy to keep them....But, if they’ye Junk, my feelings won’t be hurt if there’s a lot better turn-key options available today.
😎 They aint junk. Drop a 3pd velocity single stage curved shoe in em. Or go full blown and do a elftmann. Put on a VG6 gamma 5.56 comp brake Gun will run like a horizontal sewing machine needle then. Will have ta rezero. Thanks Ren....😎

It will be a whole new endeavor for you...Seeing what comes off your bench should be spectacular. Prolly won’t hear “Freebore” though. Grins. Heard Seekins ain’t a good idea for a GAT gun. Just what I’ve heard from a few people. 😎

I need to educate myself on suppressors...It’s time to put a couple in jail.
Definitely want one for the 22 LR’s. The other can would be on a AR pistol in 5.56.
I’ve dragged my boots long enough...Time to do it.

Lame, but loaded, just the same ! we're suggested to use the 6' distance guideline.......... one of these is a better choice....... As you guys are aware, we don't have that option ! So, as bandit closes, to exactly 6'11", throw that heavy pipe wrench for effect n keep the stabber & hacker in case the fugger doesn't go down, or GTF outta my space !!

😎 Brother Beav, a .22 with a can is life changing. I was even more surprised by how well a can worked on the AR pistol, but it still has a bit of a bark to it. The .22? My wife has really good hearing (alas) and she didn't even realize I was shooting in the basement when I first got the can for the 22/45. The fugging magpies still don't know what's hitting them...
