We're tearing a building down and I was poking around in it today and found this on the floor underneath some other stuff. I couldn't let it get destroyed with the rest of the building. It's a early 20's practice/example voting machine, from what I understand it's pretty rare, I thought some here might find it interesting. That's what I started voting on. I always thought that they were kind of neat. Throwing the red-handled lever across set the machine and closed the curtain behind you. Throwing it the other way when you were done locked in your vote and opened the curtain.

Yeah,I used that style of machine back in '78 for the first time. Wasn't to long after that they went to the punch card. Now I vote from home by mail.
How things do change.

Seems like it’s been an electronic panel with lights, push buttons since 1988 here in TN. But since the last 8 years we got LCD screens.
Never seen no chit that looked like a Wadsworth breaker box to cast a vote. lmao.
Ain’t no fookin way I’d mail something, negroes here at the precinct would toss mine in the trash. That’s that only people they hire at election commissions around here.
