Back to my question...Who believes this? Looks like a huge industry of scam to me.

I have two freinds that have done mail order. One Russian and one Asian. The Russian took about a year and a half to get her in the US after two trips to Russia to meet her and her parents. She is very good looking, well spoken in english and loves living in America. Also an awesome cook. The Asian took about 6 months and one overseas visit to get her in and she is a very nice gal that speaks a little english, but she also is a great cook.

Many years ago....a ‘tester’ at the factory got a Russian bride. He went over and met the family before he brought her home. He brought her and her daughter back. He had a few Vodka recommendations.
Over many years, I’d see him in the can, always asking how married life was treating him. He usually had a recent story about his wife and daughter.
He was a little socially awkward, but always respectful. Seemed happy to me.
He ‘early’ retired before I did.....and started driving semi’s.....teaming up with his wife. They completed the training while he was still testing.
I would’ve bet against his decision, but glad it worked out for him.

My son who is an attorney tells me this usually ends in sad stories about older men bringing some very good looking younger foreigner over here and as soon as she becomes legally American she is looking for divorce lawyer and a settlement. A lot of them are Filipino.

Years ago, my brother's friend got a bride from the Philippines. He went over there and married her. Then he returned to the US to get her visa settled. That cost him about $25k. When she got off the plane in the US, she had her visa in one hand and divorce papers in the other. It cost him another $25k to get rid of her.

Interesting...I played with a Russian girl for a long while, years ago...She told me she was an English/Russian interpreter in Saint Petersburg, where she met an American on business...They got married and she lands in the US, eventually becoming an American citizen.
Shortly after we’re seeing each other, I figured out she’s still married and doing the full cheating game on her husband.
A lot of deception with this Russian hottie...She had that gold-digger vibe that was easy to spot.

I Had a very good friend who did the Russian bride thing a few years back. After his second trip to Russia to make the final arrangements for her trip to the USA he called me to tell me what he had done and to send me a picture. After receiving the picture I called him and told him to STOP. He was to old and inexperienced to last 3 nights with his new Russian BABE. After 6 months he sent her back.....

I know of one like you described. She left him with twin baby girls of mixed racial origin. She had a baby daddy on the side.
Not mail order but 4 of the guys that I worked with in China married Chinese women and are doing well . Another that I worked with in Brazil left his Wyoming wife and married a Brazilian woman. Don’t know how that worked out.
