Wife's little great-nephew, 9 years old, killed a bird on the youth hunt yesterday that must have had 1 1/2 inch spurs. Son took his 13 year old girl, and they needed one to come about 10 more yards, but some hens came along and took him off. Hard to put the sneak on turkeys this early in the season.

birds out back are pitching a fit. still a month til the season opener here in PA. at this rate, the birds will be all tuckered out by then. i had one out back yesterday that was no schit dragging his beard. head was red as a rose. must have weighed 25 lbs. problem around here is that i ain't the only one hearing them and come sunrise on opening day there will be 3 or 4 numbskulls down over the hill off my property squawking away. happens every year. if i can catch one before it leaves my hill then i am good. otherwise the turk around here get smart pretty quick.

Just had a barge come by.
Scared off 5 hens on the feild I couldnt see cause of the angle Im on.

They are hiting the flood left over brown dead area.
Probably bugging or hitting seeds on the dried out flood rim where the water receded or a combo of both.
