I'm going to kick the turd over and stir the shyte.

Who the [bleep] was the guy at the party on here that came up with the lame gay 270 shooter joke? It might have been funny at the time but it's sort of lame now.

Others may chime in, I think the Creedmoor has picked up the fallen mantle of the .270.

22 Long rife is still cool as far as I know.

Nothing gay about the 270 nor the 6.5 Creedmoor. I have both in the closet....

So, you're coming out of the closet, huh?

Just kidding. It's the unbelted magnum. Mine has killed bull elks and lots of deer, including a huge bug thick 33 inch 5x5 muley. And a bull moose and bear.

You appear to be very ........, there is nothing "gay" about the .270 Winchester.

Never found the .270 to be as bad as the 6.5 Manbun. YMMV. -TomT

I'm not sure. It was not me. However, I'm not of the belief that folks that are gay shoot 270 WIN. I was led to believe it's the round itself and (by association) the rifles that fire them. However, prolonged exposure can lead a shooter astray. Mind you, I've never had any particular like for the 270 WIN, nor any particular experience-- just an unimformed antipathy. However, on this august forum that seems to be enough.

The closest I've come is owning a 25-06. The brass is expensive so I buy 270 WIN brass and take great pleasure in knocking the queer out of them, as I size them down to 25-06.

And now, there this:

https://www.nosler.com/27-nosler

150gr bullet at 3450fps. Built on a standard length action.

Definitely not a "rainbow" trajectory. Doesn't look very gay to me.

The 270 is a great round.

IMHO. It's the 7 mm Rem mag that should be held in contempt and banned.

The safe contains calibers ranging from .17 to .54. I was a pretty straight guy until a couple .27's managed to sneak in. Surely, there must be some other clear indicators of sexual preferences out there too. Maybe driving something like a Ford 150?

All right I’ll come out now, I had a 270 for awhile, years ago but it was too manly for me. I replaced it with a 6.5, ......., Swedish Mauser. Am I Rock Hudson’s buddy?
