I'm not sure. It was not me. However, I'm not of the belief that folks that are gay shoot 270 WIN. I was led to believe it's the round itself and (by association) the rifles that fire them. However, prolonged exposure can lead a shooter astray. Mind you, I've never had any particular like for the 270 WIN, nor any particular experience-- just an unimformed antipathy. However, on this august forum that seems to be enough.
The closest I've come is owning a 25-06. The brass is expensive so I buy 270 WIN brass and take great pleasure in knocking the queer out of them, as I size them down to 25-06.
The safe contains calibers ranging from .17 to .54. I was a pretty straight guy until a couple .27's managed to sneak in. Surely, there must be some other clear indicators of sexual preferences out there too. Maybe driving something like a Ford 150?

Lame is as lame does - and some don't see the lame in this case. I don't remember the "who" that originally noted the condition, but the in-depth report on that gayness was based on much observation and quite a bit of ballistic and psychological research. A lot of agreement resulted, along with quite a number of folks posting supportive anecdotes from actual experience.
I've not owned or even shot a .270, and none of the above caused me to form any strong personal opinion. But, observation of comments by those offended has caused me to think there probably is something to those original findings.

I have not seen this reference...except for here and this means zero. A 150 Nosler Partition at 3000 fps from a 22" barrel does not have a limp wrist, imo. Many rifleman know the value of any 30/06 derivative. .25 to .35 /06's meet or beat any of the silly new short/ fats out there, imo. I think a man can look more queer in short pants and sandles. There you go...I said it.

Worked fine with 150 grain Winchester power points. When I acquired a VX-R 4-12 with fire dot for my .30-06 the .270 went back in the closet. My daughter prefers her .243 so the .270 is just a loaner or spare now. Around here it's kind of like having a colored girlfriend, pretty good but you don't want anybody to know about her.

While the modern computer carrying, weather station equipped tacticool sniper may deride it, those that still spot and stalk game know its usefulness.

Backpacking into the mountains for 5 days of deer and elk hunting, I appreciated the light weight of a Win bolt 270 fwt. A box ammo was lighter in 270 cal than a box of 30-06 and it kicked less in a light gun too.

Being a good shot and not hunting for big bears, I thought the '06 a bit of overkill, like using a 12 on doves. My M12, 12 is great on ducks, geese and cranes, however.
Just think. If you had a rainbow stocked 270, with a taped up Leupold scope on it, you wouldn't even have to pull the trigger! They'd just give up, and fall over dead! Joking aside, nice deer there............
